About the design

Vela Family was originally designed by German type designer Holger Königsdörfer, initially as part of his final project at the University of Applied Sciences in Augsburg. This is an updated and optimized version that consists of four fonts: Regular and Bold (including Small Caps), Italic and Bold Italic (including Swash Capitals). These fonts support all European languages and provide an extended character set. Additional glyphs such as various figure sets, currency symbols, swashes, ligatures and alternates make the Vela Family suitable for many different fields of high-quality typography.
